With his first year as Superintendent completed, Dr. John Frossard likely has much to share with Rotarians and friends about changes implemented, programs initiated, and progress accomplished across the Beaumont Independent School District.
We welcome him back as the speaker once again and look forward to hearing his evaluation and expectations going forward.

How quickly a year goes by! On June 28, we will celebrate the 2015-16 year of "President Pat" and give him a royal send-off with the much anticipated Swan Song. Be there for the good-natured fun!

Show Your Colors Flag Project
Thank you to the many volunteers who took part in "Show Your Colors" on Tuesday, June 14 for Flag Day. What a tribute to our country!
We will publish all the volunteer names in the next RotaryGrams but, meanwhile, know that your service is very much appreciated!
Special thanks to Gary Moncla for taking on the role of Co-Chair of this project for Flag Day.

It is always a very special day when we have the opportunity to recognize club members for contributions to the successes of the year. President Pat will be presenting awards and recognition on June 22. He will also recognize those who have earned Perfect Attendance for the year either through meeting attendance, and eClub makeup, serving on and attending committee meetings, or attending a makeup event. Did you submit a makeup for every meeting you missed?
As we assure that no one is omitted in the recognition process, please help us by reflecting on the year (July 2015-June 2016). If you deserve recognition, please call the Rotary office (409-842-1913) or send an email (admin@beaumontrotaryclub.org) saying you earned and deserve Perfect Attendance recognition. (Reminder: you must have been a member of the club for one full year to be eligible for this recognition.)

Invoices for July-December 2016 dues will be sent today and payment is due by July 1.
There is a link built into the emailed invoice so you need only click on the link in order to be automatically directed to your personal payment page. Please check your email inbox; if you are not seeing it, please check your "spam" folder. Call the Rotary office if you need another copy emailed to you.
Printed copies will be mailed to those who requested that form of invoicing; call the Rotary Office at 409-842-1913 now if you do not have that directive in place. Those with credit cards on file should note that your dues will be charged on June 30.

On July 1 Rotary International automatically charges the club for dues for all members on the rolls as of that date. If you are anticipating a change in your membership status, please call the Rotary office (409-842-1913) to advise us of the change immediately so we will not be charged for them.
Your prompt payment of dues saves the office staff a tremendous amount of time collecting delinquent payments. Thank you!

INVOICES INCLUDE VOLUNTARY DONATION
On the current invoices, you will notice a difference in the total from previous invoices. Dues have not increased, but the addition of an amount of $50 has been added.
The Beaumont Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees asked that this nominal $50 be added to the invoices as a reminder that a voluntary tax-deductible donation to the Beaumont Rotary Foundation for "Service Above Self" is requested. Members are asked to please consider the voluntary donation to help support the club'sservice projects, such as scholarships, quarterly service projects, RYLA, the books we read to local first graders, etc.
Since dues billings have become an electronic tool, the amount of Service Above Self donations has dropped significantly, leaving the club with significantly less funds to provide local service. We attribute that to Rotarians not understanding how to add dollars into the payment system. If you wish to donate more or less, simply pay online the amount you would like.
Of course, if you are accustomed to making a larger donation and/or including The Rotary Foundation, which funds international projects such as water wells, emergency assistance, and polio eradication, as a beneficiary of your generosity also, we hope you will continue doing so.
It is necessary, it is our mission, to continue the work in our community and around the world.

"Rotary Goes to Work"

By all accounts, the very special Rotary Goes to Work events were exciting, fun, enjoyable, and informative. Everyone who took part experienced the fellowship of Rotary as the founder, Paul Harris, and the first Rotarians in the world designed. Thank you to our hosts for the day: Lynn Castle, Chance Henson, Cindy Bloodsworth Jeanis, Becky Mason, Chad Mason, Chuck Mason, Leonard Juncker, Sharen Kirksey, Elaine Shellenberger, and Stephanie Shoemaker and, of course, to Chair Mellie Bevilacqua for organizing and bringing the day to fruition.
