I received my education in Meteorology in 1979 and joined KFDM-TV in July, 1979, As you might imagine, it is quite rare for anyone to stay at the same station for that length of time.
Not only do I appear on the evening news on television, I also give weather reports on KLVI-AM weekday mornings. I also do weather consulting work for area industry and emergency management.
I have forecasted literally over 100 hurricanes and tropical storms over the years and take great pride in helping the families of Southeast Texas weather these weather events. Some of the most memorable storms were Allen in 1980, Alicia in 1983, Bonnie in 1986, Andrew in 1992, Rita in 2005, Humberto in 2007, and of course Ike in 2008.
Obviously, Rita and Ike were the "big" events with those hurricanes causing extensive damage in Southeast Texas. Hopefully the hurricane seasons in the future will be quiet in our area.
Being an Aggie, I am a big supporter of Texas A&M football and you will usually find me and my family at Kyle Field at home games.
I also have a greenhouse and nursery business at my home near Winnie called "Bostwick Farms". I grow and sell plants to area landscapers and nurseries and really enjoy getting my hands dirty.
My family and me have made Southeast Texas our home and hope to enjoy retirement here in the future. Thanks for trusting KFDM-TV for your weather needs.

Club Assembly
Program Review: Jeff Beaver
The meeting of the Rotary Club of Beaumont was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the MCM Elegante’ Hotel. President Uliana Trylowsky called the meeting to order and introduced the members joining her at the head table, Diane Thompson provided the Invocation, John Lee lead the pledge to the US flag and Texas flag, and Andrew Edwards for introduction of guests.
Announcements:
· Uliana shared with the club that Jay Wilson received an award at the District Conference for Polio Plus.
· Uliana also shared that Brad Brown received the Roll of Fame award at the District Conference.
· Uliana reminded the club about Flag Day coming up this weekend.
· Terri Potter reminded the club that the “Swan Song” for Uliana will be Wednesday, June 24th at 5:30 pm at the Edison Plaza.
Uliana then introduced President-elect Jay Wilson to lead us in the Club Assembly for the 2026-2027 Rotary year. Jay shared his goals & vision for the coming year which include building on the existing strengths of the Club with a focus on Membership, Foundation, and Public Image. These are the cornerstone for a thriving and growing club. Jay outlined that Membership begins with engagement and spoke about the Committees listed for next year. Some of the committees have Rotary members returning as Chair, some intentionally have new members as Chair, and some still need a Chair. His goal is to get everyone in the club engaged, and get more people involved on every committee. Jay spoke about the Club Foundation and the importance of the Club’s Public Image, pointing out that he has 3 committee chairs for Public Image this year.
Next, Jay recognized those members who will assist him as officers in the club next year. GiGi Mazzola, VP-Speakers plans to have a variety of speakers and introduce new perspectives and topics. Stephanie Harris, VP-Recognition let everyone know that you don’t have to have experience to be on a committee, just be willing to step up and serve.
Those members present at the meeting had the opportunity to sign up for the committee they are interested in serving on. Afterwards the Club recited the 4-way Test and the meeting was adjourned.
