PROGRAM REVIEW
July 17, 2024

Passing of the Gavel and
Installation of President Michael Perez and Board Members
By Joanne Brown and Tim Sudela

The Rotary Club of Beaumont welcomed Michael H. Perez as President of the club with the traditional passing of the gavel from past Presidents and the enthusiastic round of applause from its members. Rebekah Maxwell wrapped up a very strong year as President, implementing several new initiatives and laying the groundwork for the future of the club. President Perez will focus on this year’s RI theme; ‘The Magic of Rotary’ and the importance of representing ‘The Brand’.

Past District 5910 Governor, Demetress Harrell led the installation ceremony of club officers Josh Smith, Vice President, Arne Almquist, Vice President – Special Programs, Craig Escamilla, Treasurer, Van Greer, Secretary, Pat Anderson, Presidential Advisor, Uliana Trylowsky, President-Elect, and John Rollins, Sergeant-at-Arms, and board of directors Diane Bass, Ty Coudrain, Kevin Reed, Mitch Templeton, Michele Cobb, Kristie Young, Jacques Gagne, Misty Fountain, Tish Cornell, and Andrew Edwards.

Chuck Heare, Foundation Chair, and Chris Ayers, Foundation Treasurer proudly glowed as President Perez announced that the local Rotary Foundation has reached the cusp for the first time of the one million dollar mark through the hard work and dedication of Mr. Joe Fisher who manages the funds and has also donated personal funds to reach the accomplishment.

Every member, every commitment will continue building ‘The Magic of Rotary’ and “The Brand’ in the coming year.
