We welcome Ulli Budelmann to the opening meeting of the year. He will install our incoming officers and directors, direct the traditional "Passing of the Gavel" and conduct the installation of incoming President Rebekah Maxwell. President Rebekah will share her inspiration and vision as we begin to "Create Hope in the World."
Bernd U. Budelmann - Ulli is a third generation Rotarian. He joined the Rotary Club of Galveston in 1993. Over the years, he served as Chair of eight club committees. In 1999, he became involved in Youth Exchange. He has been Club Youth Exchange Officer for 20 years and served as Counselor for 22 students. He is a member of the District Youth Exchange Committee for over 20 years and serves as Inbound Coordinator for all exchange students in the District.
Ulli is a member of the District 5910 Roll of Fame. He served as Centennial Club President and was honored as the Club’s Most Valuable Member. He served as District Governor in 2011-2012. Ulli is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Sustaining Member, Benefactor, and Major Donor. In 2012, he served as RI President’s Representative to three Districts in Germany (1880, 1890, and 1900). He was a member of the RI Council on Legislation 2014-2020.
