Jeremy Raley currently serves as the proud and dedicated Administrator/Campus Coordinator for Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas. Prior to this role, he was the Director of Membership Development for the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, where he oversaw several key areas within the membership division.
Jeremy's unwavering commitment to giving back to Southeast Texas is driven by his deep desire to help others—both professionally and personally. He credits much of his leadership growth to his participation in Leadership Southeast Texas and Leadership Beaumont, both of which played a vital role in shaping his passion for servant leadership.
He attended Lamar Institute of Technology and Kilgore College, completing the required coursework for both Corrections Officer certification and Police Academy training. His hard work and diligence earned him the Director’s Award for Excellence in the academy. Jeremy was commissioned as a Corrections Officer in 1997 and became a Texas Peace Officer in 2003.
Jeremy’s dedication to his community shines through his countless volunteer efforts. His service during multiple major natural disasters even earned national recognition with a feature on Good Morning America. In 2018, he was nominated by former Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce President Bill Allen and was honored with the Rotary Vocational Excellence Award.
Over the years, Jeremy has generously given his time and talents to numerous organizations including United Way, CASA of Southeast Texas, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Comeback Coolers, Junior Achievement, American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association, Circle of Hope, Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas (where he also served on the board), and St. Mark’s Treasure House.
He currently serves on the advisory board for Leadership Southeast Texas, the Vidor Pirate Intermediate Football Academy, and as Vice President of the Vidor Chamber of Commerce.
Jeremy's passion for his community and local schools is immeasurable. Born and raised in Southeast Texas, he now resides in what he proudly calls his "awesome little town," Vidor, TX, with his wife of 19 years, Jessica. Together, they have two children—Emma and Liam—along with a rescue dog named Scooby and two mini schnauzers, Leia and Bella.

30 SOMETHING
Our "30 Something" program Chairs, Bobbie Applegate and Stephanie Shoemaker, would like to invite you to the first "30 Something" gathering of the year hosted by Brad Brown at the First Financial (lunch will be provided) on Monday, April 7, 2025 from Noon-1:00pm.
Many years back, someone in our club asked... "how many new members do we have in the Club at any given time?" Someone replied... "We always have about 30 something new members." Thus, the term... "30 Something" was born!
This is a great opportunity for newer members to gather and learn more about the club while having an opportunity to ask questions - sort of an informal "sophomore orientation." It will be a relaxed and informal setting.

The April 2nd meeting of the Rotary Club of Beaumont was called to order by club President Michael Perez. Joining Michael at the head table were: Cindy Jeanis providing the Invocation, Dena Hughes leading in pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags, Uliana Trylowsky to introduce all the many guests visiting, and Paul Koester to introduce our speaker.
Announcements included: Hosts are still needed for the Rotary goes Home meeting but all hosts are obtained for the Rotary goes to Work meeting. Michael encouraged everyone to visit the Pollinator Gardens at the Tyrrell Park Nature Center and that sponsors are still needed for the signs to accompany the planters. He announced that invoices had been emailed to all members for renewal for the 2025-26 Rotary year.
Phil Dunlap announced several Paul Harris Fellows: Kate Carroll, Robert Kocot, Shawn Javed a Fellow plus 1, Allen Hefty a Fellow plus 3, Michael Wolf a Fellow plus 3, and himself, Phil Dunlap a Fellow plus 6.
Melissa Cornwell acted as Rotarian of the Day with an announcement about an event on April 9, to focus on ending child and sexual abuse - she has tickets available to sell for the event. Melissa also shared a poignant account of her own personal experiences.
The speaker of the meeting was Paul Trevino, CEO of Christus Southeast Texas with over 30 years experience with the organization. He recounted first the history of how Christus began from a convent in France, the Sisters of Charity, and the three nuns who went to Galveston, TX to provide assistance. From Galveston, they expanded to San Antonio and Tyler. In 1999 three congregations merged to form the Christus Health System which is a not for profit organization which is not only a domestic provider by also has international reaches.
Christus Southeast Texas not only has expanded their hospitals and clinics but benefits the community such as providing jobs, works with Lamar University to provide medical staff, supports physicians with growth and development and includes their families in recruitment to ensure they will enjoy our community. Healthcare is changing in many ways such as increasing outpatient services and reduction in hospital stays, using robotics for surgery, and the changes in technology such as AI.
President Michael thanked Mr. Trevino for being our speaker by announcing a donation to Rotary in the area of Maternal and Child Health on his behalf. Michael announced next week's speaker as Jeremy Raley with Crimestoppers.
