Lee Y. Wheeler, III is the founder and president of Wheeler Commercial and a frequent speaker at local events and companies. He spent 10 years and did 4 combat tours in the United States Marine Corps. He has been in the commercial real estate business since 1997 and has written many articles on leadership, sales and different topics within the commercial real estate industry.

"Installation of President Tim Sudela and 2017-18 Club Leadership"

Tim Sudela and our Club Board of Directors for Rotary Year 2017-18 were installed by Ernestine Belt, Assistant District Governor. She emphasized that in Rotary, all clubs install new officers the July as well as the International Board of Directors. There are 32,000 clubs around the world with a new look every July.
Tim’s address paid homage to Kevin Roy and his very welcoming style for new members and Vernon Pierce’s asking him to serve on the Board of Directors. He is hopeful that his year will reflect the a welcoming club and members willing to do service.
At PETS (President Elect Training) all incoming club Presidents in Texas meet for training in Dallas. There are 10 Districts in the state and presidents are grouped for learning sessions by the club size. At this training, Tim was fortunate to hear our new RI President give a speech about “Making a Difference”. The training makes new leadership aware of the magnitude of the Rotary organization and assists them in setting goals for their club year.
Tim’s goals for the year follow the path to a Presidential Citation:
Encourage club members to pay dues on time and increase donations to RI and record service hours of members.
Support our members in adding to the club’s diversity. The average age of Rotarians world-wide is 58. Our club is slightly under that number. The club will strive to bring in new members and grow them into leaders. This will involve good recruitment and retention and better member engagement from the beginning.
There are overall areas of service: peace, water, children, growing local economies and literacy. Tim hopes to have a larger impact on projects by increasing funding amounts during the year.
Future planning will continue under the Strategic Planning Committee.
