End of Year Celebration
Program Review: Tim Sudela
As the Rotary year comes to the end, the Rotary Club of Beaumont honored outgoing club President, Uliana Trylowsky. The ‘Swan Song’ event organized by Lee Potter had Uliana seeing red. As in the Lamar University (Peck’Em) red worn by many of the attendees. In her role as club President, Ms. Trylowsky certainly left her mark on the community and beyond. As an aside, she also left her mark on the Rotary bell which she vigorously struck at each weekly meeting to reinforce her personal theme of ‘Go Make Some Noise’.
The event was held in the lobby of the Edison Plaza with refreshments generously provided Coburn’s Supply. Many thanks to Jacques Gagne for serving as host for the event.
By tradition, members who obtained ‘Perfect Attendance’ were honored, including Fred Kristiansen who achieved his 51st year of perfection. President Uliana acknowledged members who led many of the key committees with Paul Harris Fellowship awards, and then presented each of her board members with a special gift. Uliana was also presented with a PHF+4 award by Tim Sudela. Two members were honored with the President’s Rookie of the Year award; Michael Kiefer and Jason Marshburn.
Bobbie Applegate, chair of the ’Spirit of Rotary’ award committee presented this years award to board member, Diane Thompson who served in several roles this year.
Finally, President Uliana Trylowsky was honored (AKA roasted) by several people including Beaumont Fire Chief, Earl White, Beaumont Mayor (and Club Runner enthusiast) Roy West, club member Cheryl Bilyeu, and Lamar University (Peck’Em) President, Jaime Taylor.
Congratulations to Uliana for a 'job well done' this past Rotary year. The year was a ringing success.
