On June 25, 2025, the Michael H Perez year as President of the Rotary Club of Beaumont meeting was highlighted by a TRoast (Toast/Roast) led by Paul Koester. Additional kind comments were added by Kate Carroll, Jefferson County Tax Assessor, and Pat Anderson, Past-president 2015-16. Mr. Koester mentioned, it is difficult to Roast someone as dedicated to his community as Michael is.
Serving at the head table were Chris Ayers presenting the Invocation, Pat Anderson leading pledges to the United States and Texas flags, and Paul Koester introducing eight meeting guests. Board Secretary Van Greer presented three new member nominations.
Prior to the Perez ’Swan Song’, several members of the club were recognized for special awards and for their perfection with attendance. Virtue Alexander was awarded the ’Spirit of Rotary’ award by Bobbie Applegate, Past-President 2010-11. This award was created by Terry Boudier, 92nd President of the Rotary Club of Beaumont, to recognize a member who exemplifies the spirit of the Rotary 4-Way Test. Ms. Alexander has been a member of the club since October 2019 and she has a reputation of always saying ‘Yes’. The ‘Rookie of the Year’ award was presented to Lee Potter. This award is presented to a member who has been a member for a year or less who has ‘hit the ground running’. A Paul Harris Fellow was awarded to Van Greer by President Perez for outstanding service as club Secretary this past year.
Perfect Attendance awards for various yearly milestones were presented to Jacqueline Gunner, Alan Hefty, Terri Potter, Van Greer (1 yr), Linda Domino, Kym Johns (2 yrs), Amy Wilson, Arne Almquist, Debbie Maxwell (3 yrs), Amanda Ellis, Cheryl Bilyeu, Lynn Hill, Kevin Reed (4 yrs), Brad Brown (5 yrs), Chuck Heare, Joanne Brown (6 yrs), Sheree Pierce, Dana Timaeus (8 yrs), Joe Domino, Rebekah Maxwell, Jay Wilson (9 yrs), Craig Escamilla (11 yrs), Larry Beaulieu, Tim Sudela (12 yrs), Michael Perez (13 yrs), Sharon McCabe (16 yrs), Alan Sampson (20 yrs), Pat Anderson (22 yrs), Roger McCabe (24 yrs), Michael Wolf (39 yrs), and Fred Kristiansen who has now achieved 50 years of perfect attendance.

The Rotary Club of Beaumont gifted $92,335.27 during Fiscal year 2024-2025: $3,670 Rotary Goes to School (Martin Elementary), $5,100 RYLA, $16,000 Scholarships, $2,500 Non-Traditional Scholarship, $7,055.08 Layettes, $3,000 Girl Pads, $4,357 Pollinator Garden at Tyrrell Park, $7,722 District Dues, $21,156 RI Invoices, $3,000 Waitstaff Anonymous Tip, $3,500 District 5910 Foundation Event honoring Becky and Chuck Mason who served as District Governors and Presidents of our Beaumont Club, $775 RI Donation-Speaker honorariums, $8,000 Every Rotarian Every Year, $2,500 Polio, and $4,000 Beaumont Fire and Police Recognition. Congratulations to all members who make our club strong.
