TRUE INDEPENDENCE

Gary Garcia has made a career as a professional interpreter with a focus on educational, medical interpretation and translation for the past decade and currently holds a BRIDGING THE GAP Certification. He consistently involves himself in trainings to refine his communication and mediation skills. 

Gary is Co-founder and project manager of a commercial residential and post construction cleaning service. 

Mr. Garcia is currently losing his vision to hereditary retinal dystrophy and due to a lack of exposure, knowledge and accommodations throughout our communities, his personal, social and professional life has suffered. 

He has endured discrimination, bullying and disrespect from his peers, employers and individuals. 

Due to these experiences Mr. Garcia has founded True Independence in hopes to empower other legally blind and blind individuals with the freedom to find their True Independence!

Gary in his free time enjoys outdoor sports such as rock climbing, biking, hiking and weightlifting, he also enjoys working on vehicles and has a true passion for helping individuals in need.
