COMMON HOPE

Common Hope for over 30 years has partnered with children and families in Guatemala to help children gain a high school diploma and families to break the cycle of poverty through education, health care, housing, and family development. Teresa Bettmann, Outreach and Partnership Manager, was first introduced to Common Hope when her family started sponsoring students in Guatemala over 20 years ago. Teresa began her personal work with Common Hope in 2012 when she moved down to Guatemala and was a Common Hope long-term volunteer, facilitating the youth leadership program for 2.5 years. Since returning to Minnesota in 2015, Teresa has worked at Common Hope’s St. Paul office, discovering her passion for telling the Common Hope story and sharing about the beautiful culture and people of Guatemala. She looks forward to sharing with us about Common Hope’s work to break the cycle of poverty in Guatemala, and how we can Be The Hope for students and families in Guatemala.
