The board is recommending a new membership type for the club, providing a "service membership" for members who are not able to attend meetings but do want to be involved in service projects.
Adding this membership type requires an amendment of our bylaws. You can find a draft of the revised bylaws below, along with the current club bylaws. All changes are in Article 11, Membership. We will vote on approving these bylaw changes at our club assembly on May 14.
Congratulations to Savannah Warren, the District Four-Way Test Speech Contest Winner! Savannah represented Purcell at the contest last weekend.
Congratulations as well to Isabella Hurley, who won second place at our club contest and fourth place at the District Contest. Purcell was represented very well!
All the participants did a great job of walking through how the Four-Way Test can be used in daily life.
As we get closer to the new Rotary year, the board is looking for members who will serve as committee chairs. We are currently looking for:

Our speaker this week will be Christy Creswell. Christy is the entertainment manager for Riverwind Entertainment and will share her experiences managing entertainment at Riverwind.
We will also celebrate this year's Teachers of the Year for Purcell Schools.
