Rotary Weekly Update

The board is recommending a new membership type for the club, providing a "service membership" for members who are not able to attend meetings but do want to be involved in service projects.
 
Adding this membership type requires an amendment of our bylaws. You can find a draft of the revised bylaws below, along with the current club bylaws. All changes are in Article 11, Membership. We will vote on approving these bylaw changes at our club assembly on May 14.

As we get closer to the new Rotary year, the board is looking for members who will serve as committee chairs. We are currently looking for:
  • Program chair
  • Membership chair or co-chair
  • International projects chair or co-chair
  • Club service chair
  • Marketing chair
  • Fundraising co-chair
  • Interact chair or co-chair
If you are interested in any of those positions, please talk with Ariel or Melissa!
 
Our speaker this week will be Rebekah Lynam, branch manager of the Purcell Public Library. Rebekah will highlight library programs and services that are designed to help customers improve their lives, from building resumes and searching for jobs to learning English and studying for the US citizenship test.
