The 18th Annual Chickasha Rotary Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 14 beginning at 8 a.m.

The Rotary Run  is a 5K Road Race/Walk beginning and ending at Chickasha's Shannon Springs Park, which is located on 9th Street, south of Grand Avenue.  The course has some moderate hills at the park and levels out through residential areas before returning to the park. This is a casual event attracting a range of people. 

The Chickasha Rotary Club sponsors the event and proceeds will go to local charities.

Cash prizes totaling $450 will be awarded in open class male & female athletes as follows Male 1st $100 Female 1st $100 2nd $ 75 2nd $ 75 3rd $ 50 3rd $ 50

Awards will be presented in USATF age groups 12 & under; 13-15; 16-19; then five year increments through age 65 & over female & 70 & over male. Merchant Prizes (Over $400) will be awarded beginning with the 4th place finishers for male & female. Runners will pick from prize tables until all prizes are awarded.

Once again, there will be team competition. Teams must have at least three members but can have as many more as they wish. The fastest three finisher times are combined to give an overall team time.

Fast accurate results will be provided by DG Productions immediately after the event. Stay for the awards ceremony and enjoy food and fellowship.

Entry fee is $20 which incudes a Rotary Run T-Shirt or $15, without a t-shirt. You can register on race day for $25, which will include a shirt if available.

Also on May 14, the Rotary Club of Chickasha will have its annual Crab and Shrimp Boil. 

Volunteers are need to worked both events. A signup sheet will be passed around at the next two meetings.
