President Cody White reports on April board meeting

The April board meeting was held Friday, April 12.  Several Rotarians came as guests to help us plan for the VSE Team from Italy we will host April 20th through April 24th.  Below is a summary:
--    Brad Duvall and his sponsorship committee have secured over $7,500 to date, in sponsorships for the Rotary Run.  Last year we had $6,900.  
--    Michael Oberlender is working on revising a proposal for a permanent sign at Shannon Springs Park to credit our club with purchasing the fountain.
--    Nathan Donald is working with two USAO students to form a Rotaract Club to launch in August.
--    We voted to fund the Fellowship of Christian Athletes $250 to pay for one person to attend their summer camp.
--    We voted to fund the Chickasha High School Prom $100 for their After-Prom Party
--    We drafted an itinerary for the Rotary Exchange Team we will host next week. Anyone who would like to help with the hosting is welcome to participate.  Please contact me if you are able to host one of the team members for dinner on Monday evening, April 22.  We need 5 hosts for that night.

Sunday, April 21    

10:00 a.m.    Brunch at Bistro Lorene’s with USAO host
11:00 a.m.     Church services and lunch with Rotary hosts (Nathan Donald, Michael Oberlender, John Jernigan, Cody White, Greg Elliott)
1:00 p.m.    Free time
5:00 p.m.    Dinner at the home of John and Judith Jernigan

Monday, April 22

7:30 a.m.    Breakfast at USAO
9:00 a.m.    USAO tour and faculty interaction
    Noon        Lunch at USAO
    1:00 p.m.    Chickasha area industries tour
    5:00 p.m.    Dinner at the home of Rotarian hosts

Tuesday, April 23

    7:30 a.m.    Breakfast at USAO
    9:00 a.m.    Tour of CVTC and local criminal justice system
    Noon        Lunch with Rotary hosts at Crazy 8 (and visit to museum)
    1:00 p.m.    Tour of OSU Research Station
5:00 p.m.    Dinner with Rotary hosts at a local restaurant
7:00 p.m.    Harlem Ambassadors basketball game

Wednesday, April 24

    7:30        breakfast at USAO
    9:00        depart for Ada
