Program:
Elizabeth Allen, Rotarian of the day, introduced her program Patty Rogstad.  Her program was about how Patty makes the displays for the Festival of Light.  Patty got involved with the the Festival of Light.  At the beginning the sponsors built their own displays.  But over time Fun Metal Creations, her business, has about 90 to 95% of the displays at the festival.  At first she designed them but was impatient waiting on someone to weld her design together and so she learned how to weld in 1994.  As time goes by and the lights needed to be replaced.  The old school way was zip tied lights.  She found plastic clips to just snap the lights on.
In 1999 a call went to the chamber asking about who made the displays for our Festival of Light.  So she had a first customer.  Chris Mosley came up with the idea of John, Patty's husband, to be paid to setup and maintain his displayed.  So the business took another turn and grew even more.  Over time more and more cities have contacted her to make their displays.  Yukon is her second busiest city next to Chickasha.
She then showed many pictures of the stuff she has done.  She then mentioned several of our Rotarians business that could do some new displays.
Thanks Elizabeth for a great program.
