The Most Rev. Scott Keneda and his Italian Greyhound show dog were the program on August 4.

The August 4, 2016 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha opened with a prayer pledge and a song.
Guests introduced included Logan Tibbetts and Josh Epperson.
Rotarian of the Day was Judge Tim Brauer, who introduced The Most Reverend Scott Keneda as our guest speaker.
Scott is senior pastor at Chickasha's Epworth United Methodist Church. He was an on Olympic Torch bearer in 1984 and is show dog owner and handler.
He was chosen to carrry the Olympic torch across Oklahoma leading up to he games that year in Los Angeles because he was a high school cross country champion. He brought the actual torch he carried and passed it around for Rotarians to inspect. It was timely because the Summer Games were about to open in Brazil.
Scott's hobby is competing in regional dog shows with his Italian Greyhounds. He talked about the breed and how dogs are judged. He does it for the fun and because many of the shows award trophies or ribbons only -- no cash.
He said Chickasha is hosting a big dog show on Nov. 17-20 at the Grady County Fairgrounds.
The meeting closed after recitation of the Rotary 4-Way Test.
