The Old Geezers, a muscial group from Duncan, performed at the 1-19-2012 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha.

The Jan. 19, 2012 meeting of the Rotary Club of Chickasha opened with a prayer, pledge and song.

Guests included Joyce and Lisa Davis and visiting Rotarians Arnold Nelson and George Lindley.

Prayer concerns included Jerry Mottinger, who is recovering from back surgery and is gradually easing back into work.

President Michael Oberlender reminded Rotarians help is needed each Friday during the school year greeting freshmen students at CHS. Contact Bill McVey if you can help.

Rotarian of the Day was Susan Lindley who introduced the Old Geezers, a group of musicians from Duncan who played a number of old standards, including "You Are My Sunshine" and "Salty Dog."

The group featured two guitar players, one person on mandolin and a banjo picker. Visiting Rotary Nelson joined the group for roaring rendition of "Salty Dog."

Thanks Geezers for a delightful program of picking' and grinnin.'

Cova Williams of the Chisholm Trail Museum will be the program at the 1-26-2012 meeting.

The meeting adjourned after recitation of the Rotary 4-Way Test.
