Rotarian Marion Paden (R) was the program speaker at the October 24th club meting. That day is the birthday of Dr. Jonas Salk who was an early Polio researcher. Rotary has declared that date as World Polio Day in honor of Dr. Salk. Rotarian Paden gave a good overview of the End Polio eradication program since it began in 1985. She traveled to India in 2012 to participate in a National Immunization Day and shared many of her experiences with the club.
