Advances in Radiation Treatments

Dr. Olek will speak about the advances in treatments specifically for skin and prostate cancers.  For example, ten years ago most treatment durations were multiple weeks (35-40 treatments) and now with newer technology, many times treatments can be cut in half or less. 

Because of improved technology that allows tracking of the exact location and movement of the tumor, treatments are more precise and lessens the damage of surrounding tissue and organs.
