We had a great meeting on Thursday. Our guest speaker was President and CEO of Old Sturbridge Village, James Donahue. Jim discussed the Living Museum that is Old Sturbridge Village, all that OSV offers and that there are almost 300,000 visitors each year. He also mentioned the school groups that come to the Village and learn all about the 1830’s, which includes how food is grown, animal farming and surviving the elements. He also talked about the founders of the Village, the Wells family. Jim answered a lot of questions and proceeded to hand out free passes to anyone that wanted them. He also donated a family 4 pack, hotel stay and a dinner for our Celebrate Community Auction!  Thank you Jim for your generosity.

We inducted new members Matt Erskine (rejoining) and David O’Doherty to our club, each had time to discuss who they are and what they do for a living.

Dr. Satya Mitra and Sheema Mitra were presented with the 8th level Paul Harris Fellowship Pin and were recognized as Level 2 Major Donors to the Foundation. Thank you Satya and Sheema for making a difference in the world. Your exceptional contributions are a good example for all Rotarians.
