Rotarians Needed: DECA Business Competition
Attention all Rotarians.  We have been invited by Weston High School DECA Club to be judges in their upcoming Business Competition.  I hope that some of you amazing business professionals will find some time and participate.  If you are interested, here is more information:

Call for Volunteer Judges: DECA Business Competition at Weston High School Attention Weston business leaders. Weston High School's DECA Club seeks local business experts to guide the next generation of marketing, finance, and business professionals. Forty-nine talented WHS students have earned spots in the DECA State Competition this March in Boston. As part of their journey, we're hosting a preparatory mock competition at WHS before the state competition. Here's where you come in: We need experienced professionals like you to serve as judges. Over the course of about 1.5 to 2 hours, you'll evaluate business-plan presentations, participate in dynamic role-plays, and provide invaluable feedback to our students. This feedback is crucial, helping them refine their presentation skills and business strategies before the state-level contest. What to expect: Competition date: Depending on judges’ availability, the competition will be held on either Wed., Feb. 28, at 7 p.m., or Sat., Mar. 2, at 1 p.m. Your role: Judge presentations and role plays, offer constructive feedback. Time commitment: About 1.5 to 2 hours. Guidance provided: Club leadership will equip you with evaluation criteria and key points to consider. No prior judging experience? No problem! Your industry knowledge and willingness to support our students are what matter most. Interested? Please sign up here (https://forms.gle/x4XF1KDaGsC6ELTf8). The deadline to register is Friday, Feb., 9. Any questions? Please reach out to Kelly Flynn, WHS DECA Club advisor, at flynnk@weston.org.
Rotarians Needed: Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen

Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen: Supper is served for 40-80+ people every evening. Local community and church groups cook and deliver the meals at the soup kitchen. About half of those served are residents of the Bristol Lodge Shelters for men and women. The Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland is one of these groups that provides warm and hearty meals to those in need. Our schedule is every 3rd Thursday of the month all year long.

We have a regular recipe of ziti and meatballs and instructions that make shopping and cooking very easy. You can make it more fun by sharing the tasks (shopping, cooking, delivery) with another Rotarian or friend. Deliver to their new location at Christ Church Episcopal at 750 Main Street, Waltham, by 3:00 pm.

For more information, go to our webpage: Bristol Lodge | Rotary Club of Weston & Wayland (westonwaylandrotary.com) or contact Rob Mosher with questions.
