Dear Rotarians and Friends,
This week, we will be meeting at the Weston Golf Club for dinner and Club Assembly. After the regular meeting, the Board of Directors will also meet to discuss club business.
Please register for the meeting by NOON on Tuesday, February 6th
Last week Nina Shaw joined us via Zoom to tell us about their organization Wheelchairs 4 Kids. We learned that Medicare only pays for new wheelchairs for children every five years. Wheelchairs 4 Kids’ flagship program, Let’s Roll, helps to fill the gap. They are dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical disabilities. Let’s Roll provides wheelchairs, home and vehicle modifications, as well as other therapeutic equipment to children who have limited mobility due to illness, accident, or abuse.
These services are offered at no cost to our wheel kid families. It is their goal to allow all kids to participate in life fully, and this program gives them the tools they and their families need to do so!
