Joke of the Day

Louise had her joke book. I’ll give you the punch line. If you want the rest of the joke, attend the meeting already!

“I’ve already changed my will 3 times”

Announcements:
  • Raffle: bring stubs and cash to the next meeting. We have sold about 650 tickets. Keep selling!
  • Needham Community Council, food pantry runs low over the summer so please bring canned veggies, canned fruit, cereal, or anything non-perishable and not expired donations to next week’s meeting.
  • Needham Community Council is also doing backpacks for back to school. Karen will send around a list of what is needed. Please bring donations to next week’s meeting as well.
  • We watched Bill Paulson’s most excellent video of the carnival.
  • Everyone was very happy with the Carnival. Kids were smiling. Parents were excited. The people who run the carnival were excited. We had some rain, and a generator blew, but all in all a very successful event.
  • We do not have final numbers, but we definitely made a substantial amount of money for the club, and primarily for it’s service projects!! WOW! Awesome project. Congrats to Ted (who has been working on this for four years) and Bill and Charles and pretty much everyone else in the club for a knocked-it-out-of-the-park start to Marty’s year.

Happy $$$:
Chuck, Bob, Glen Happy to be here, Libby for the loan of a happy dollar, Scott for a great lunch in Provincetown, Ted for 50th family reunion in Dexter ME, and his wife Marilyn’s family reunion in Gilford, NH, Andy for an evening with Needham track where his kids were running and he was not, Ken for Ethan’s new puppy, Ryan for “guest” Glen Davis, Louise for happy and hopeful, and Greg for seeing Glen Davis.

50:50: Ted drew his own number (fix?) but drew the four of hearts, which is not the Joker (so I guess it’s not a fix), so the $736 pot rolls over to next week. Good luck everyone!

Guest Speaker:

No speaker this week.

Next week’s speaker is Latanya Steele, director of the Senior Center (Council for Aging).

Remember to bring stubs and cash for the raffle tickets and donations for the food pantry.
