ANNOUNCEMENTS: Our wine and ginger ale tasting event is this Friday night: be there! The BBQ is June 16th 6:00 pm at DeFazio Field on Dedham Ave.; Ryan reported that the District Assembly last weekend was terrific!

HAPPY DOLLARS:    Congratulations to the 2009 Rotary Scholarship winners ! Great to see the Class of 2005 return! In memory of D-day; In memory of the Viet Nam wall, signifying the loss of all those soldiers; Congratulation to Chuck Buyer's daughter graduating from Sharon HS! Congratulation to Greg's son Casey who graduated from St. Sebastian and is going to FairfieldUniversity in the fall; Congratulation to Adam Davis who graduated from NHS..

10 DAY NOTICE:  Bill Rosenthal is already in his 10 day period. As of Thursday the 11th, the BOD has okayed Chris Teachout for membership, so here is his 10 day notice! He must be a great guy as he now lives in NorfolkMA!!

50/50 RAFFLE WINNER:  Ryan won the ticket pull, but missed the card portion: total stands at $375.

Humor: Nothing specifically funny today.

Speaker:  This was our annual Scholarship award presentation. This year, Bridgette Fitzpatrick was our first scholarship winner. She is most appreciative! She will attend HamiltonCollege in NY with a pre-med/biology major. Her long term goal is to help others. She would like to travel during college to Spain and/or Costa Rica, to aid with her Spanish. She has been to Costa Rica twice as a sophomore and senior at NHS. She loves dance!

Paul Richards said she has been a remarkable student with all A's in her AP Bio, CP Calculus, AP Spanish and AP English studies.

Doug Morgan spent his last 3 years at NHS having spent his first at WellesleyHigh School. He will be going to ClemsonUniversity for his degree in Business, and hopes to receive his MBA there as well. He plans to go to Suffolk after that to receive his JD.

Paul Richards emphasized how much Doug has given as the student representative to the Needham Suicide Prevention Program.

Three of the 4 2005 NHS Scholarship recipients returned, and here are their stories:

Jenna Stento-Attended Wake Forest University , majored in business. Spent a semester abroad in France, where she worked for a French Cosmetics Company; he tutored for 4 years, and participated at the NCAA level with her dance. Has a job starting shortly at Aurlia Healthcare in WashingtonDC.

Rose Hobart-Majored in Biology and Economics; spent a semester abroad in Australia; was an intern at Geneva General Hospital; going on to Simmons College in their Nurse Practitioner program.

Gene Wong-Went to WesleyanUniversity, where he spent a semester interning at Silicon Valley Bank. He starts shortly at the bank in Newton.
