Guests: Chas Eberly, a frequent visiting Rotarian from Washington state, and, Marty Lindeman from the Seattle University Rotary club were both with us today.

Happy $$$: Marty Linderman just returned from Lake Ozark MO where he helped his Dad’s 100th birthday; Deb Kazarian for feeling so well; Lot’s of HTBH; Roz for her upcoming vacation; Doug George just signed a contract to build another home; Chris Teachout for next weeks vacation to Florida; Scotti for his trip to Nantucket; Lois Sockol to celebrate son Eric’s birthday;

Birthdays: None anyone would admit to.

50:50: Chas Eberly had the winning ticket and card, and may retire on his half of the $31 pot!

Humor: A blonde, a brunette and a redhead all work at the same office for a female boss who always goes home early. “Hey girls”, says the brunette one day, “let’s all go home early tomorrow. The boss will never know.”

So, the next day, they all leave right after the boss does. The brunette gets in some extra gardening, the redhead goes to a bar, and the blonde goes home to find her husband in bed with the female boss.

She quietly sneaks out of the house and vows to return home at the normal time the next day. In the morning the brunette says “That was fun. We should do it again sometime!”

“No way” says the blonde, “I almost got caught”.

Guest Speaker: Brooke Baker and Leslie Tillitson were our guest speakers this week. They are active in the Needham Education Fund, which was founded in 1990 with gifts from the NHS Class of 1939 totaling $3000. Ret. Gen Ralph Leader (George’s Father In Law) was the one that started it, and Needham Rotary has been quite active and supportive of this group since then. To date, they have given $1.7 million funding over 450 grants. That’s impressive.

Every public school is represented on the BOD of 35 members.

They have funded small grants up to $300,000 for a project they are working on currently to increase global competency through an extensive program.

They are to to be congratulated for a job well done! See www.nefneedham.org for more details.
