7/25 - Zack's House, the Lowell House affiliated recovery home for young men, is hosting a barbeque to celebrate 6 months of operation and to thank all who helped make this home possible.

 

7/31 - RYLA students are coming for lunch and to share their experiences from the weekend conference.

 

8/11 - Blues and Brews - signup on line. We will be compensated for volunteers, so please try to pitch in for this great event. If you have any marketing material you can donate, please give to Elkin: bags of swag will be handed out at the event.

 

8/24 - District night at the Spinners with proceeds to fund "End Polio Now". We will pass a signup sheet around and get a block of tickets for the game. You can also let John Finegan know if you are interested.

 

10/23 - Harvest Dinner and Dance. Event chair and President Elect Mark Cassidy announced the date and formation of a committee to organize this. He is seeking volunteers and a co-chair.

 

Final numbers are in for the 100 holes of golf raffle. We sold a total of 155 tickets. This is less than our goal, but will still help the coffers.

 

We had two songs this week, led by Bob Belanger, Leanna Morin and Elkin Montoya.

 

Lucinda Ellert's number came up in the raffle, but was not present.

 

District Governor Steven Sager visited us and spoke about this year's theme - "Be the Inspiration". He touched on many subjects, particularly increasing membership and looking for ways to make Rotary more relevant to both prospective and current members.

 In addition, he mentioned the many training opportunities for members that want to get a better grasp of Rotary. Steve also shared his excitement for the upcoming year under the leadership of President Amy.
