Amy mentioned the sad news of Mark Cassidy's Dad's passing. Deepest condolences to Mark and his family at this time. Arrangement and address information is available upon request.
Elkin reminded us that the 100 holes of golf raffle tickets are due by next week, the 17th. If you haven't, please bring your money and tickets to next week's meeting.
District 7910 (that's us!) is sponsoring a Lowell Spinners game. Proceeds raised by Rotary will be donated to the "End Polio Now" campaign. The game is Friday August 24th. We will try to acquire a block of seats. Please talk this up and plan for it in your calendar.
We had two guests, who also served as speakers. Vikrampuri and Mohan are in Lowell visiting their son. They are members of the Rotary Club of Hyderabad Central in India. They told us about the very important service projects that they're undertaking. These include education and literacy for the underserved population in their country.
