The Service Committee is still busy talking with several organizations about possible service projects. Some are hands on volunteer events, some are to provide financial support for a focused impact, and some may provide an opportunity for the Interact club to participate. The Service team meets again on September 20th and will review all the research then. Recommendations will come out soon after that.

Reminder! As you head to various Farmer’s Markets, Autumn or Harvest Festivals, or Craft Fairs, please be sure to snag vendor business cards.  We need a steady influx of crafter’s cards  to add to our crafters email database; key to getting vendor slots filled for our Craft Fair. Hand off cards to Phil Reimann or Liz Kaprielian.

2 Upcoming Events - Be sure to mark your calendars:

On Sunday, September 24th, the Framingham Library Foundation will hold a dedication for the new brick pathway at the McCauliffe Library. The pathway includes our club brick with the Rotary Cog symbol, and several bricks from members surrounding it. A good time to make ourselves visible in the community. Event time not yet set but likely noon or 1.

On Saturday October 21st, the District will hold Rotary Service Saturday! District is partnering with local non-profit agencies to serve people in need. Attendees will choose one of 3-5 jobs of the day, serve for the morning, and be finished by noon. You’ll be able to stay for lunch if you choose for fellowship and to hear stories of the day. Event will run 8:30 am-1:00 pm. Meet up location TBD. As date for this approaches, maybe we can work out some carpooling. Both events are listed on our ClubRunner calendar, but be sure to mark them in your own personal calendar too!
