Susan Cornforth from Self Help International discussed their mission: To alleviate hunger by helping people help themselves in both Ghana and Nicaragua.  The Waverly Rotary Club has been a key partner of SHI including helping to sponsor water projects and starting a Rotary club in Nicaragua.
 

 
Rotary Picnic: June 30th, 2016, 6:00 p.m. in Kohlmann Park
 
This event will take the place of our noon meeting that day. We will gather at the park shelter located on the south end of the park (the same one we have used the past few years). We encourage you to bring your spouse and children are welcome. Plan to stay after the picnic to enjoy Concerts in Kohlmann at the Shades of Rhythm Amphitheater. Several Rotarians play in the band.
 
Picnic Details: Thursday, June 30, 6:00 p.m. Meat will be provided courtesy of Bill Roths – Thanks, Bill! Side dishes and cookies will be ordered through HyVee
Please bring: Table service for yourself and your guests and beverages of choice. Chairs or blankets to sit on – the shelter has some picnic tables, but we’ll also need extra chairs.
