Service Project: Waltham Boys & Girls Club

Wednesday, August 26, 2020 10:00 am. - 12:00 pm.

20 Exchange St., Waltham

We will be filling toiletry bags for the B&GC meals program. We need about four to five people to help sort out the bags at the club and then follow the food trucks out to the sites to drop off the toiletries.

This service project will substitute for our weekly meeting on Zoom.

If you have been pining to visit in person with Rotarians, this is a great opportunity to connect. Maybe we'll find a place for a physically distanced lunch.

Please wear your Rotary shirt if you have one. If you don't have one, Betty may have one in your size.

Healthy Waltham Food Distribution

We need your help! Our club has committed to delivering to the short list of residents who cannot pick up their distribution.

We meet in the St. Mary's parking lot (enter from Pond St). Last time we had two boxes for each of seventeen deliveries. The boxes are heavy, and we recommend going in pairs.

The deliveries go quickly because you can leave the food even if no one answers the door.

Waltham Rotary Opinionation Night

Date to be determined

Times being what they are, we're replacing Family Feud with Opinionation online this year.

What's Opinionation?

It's like trivia, but the correct answers and points assigned are based on the answers of 100 people surveyed. So a little like Family Feud as well.

We're thinking October and we will wear costumes.

If you would like to help the planning committee, let Tammi know.

Dictionaries

We do not believe we will be able to visit schools to deliver dictionaries this year. Instead we are working with the schools to distribute on our behalf. We will make a video teachers can show the students.

Calendars

We're going to order calendars soon, so we have more time to sell them this year.
