Newly installed, DG Dick Nathan visits the Rotary E-Club of London Centenary
 
As this was the first 'bricks and mortar' meeting since the start of the Rotary Year of our e-club, we normally meet on-line, IPP Francis handed over the Collar of Office to incoming President for 2013-14 Jo Ann Ross. The President also received a framed Certificate of Appreciation on bahlf of the Club from the RC of Borrowdale Brooke in Harare, expressing their thanks for the assistance given to them by the Rotary E-Club of London Centenary.
 
 
At the meeting held at York Gate last Thursday it was a great pleasure to welcome DG Dick Nathan and his wife June for their official visit. 
 
The meeting was held both in the physical sense with our three District guests, six members, two interactors, two Rotarians from Canary Wharf and two visitors from Young Enterprise together with private guests - and in the 'virtual' sense with three members and one visitor from Zimbabwe, online
 
Two members of the Club gave presentations, PP Enzo spoke on the work of the newly established RAGM the latest Rotary Action Group in Microfinance for start-up enterprises and of which he is Secretary. 
This was followed with a presentation of the latest from the END POLIO NOW campaign, by Rotarian David Price, who is the promoter of the Crocus campaign, that has now spread across the world into 22 different countries.
 
DG Dick Nathan, gave a very strong presentation and stressed the need to partner with Corprates to help them with their CSR or Corporate Social Responsibilities, a vital part in all today's businesses.
The meeting ended with an address from President Jo Ann who spoke of the Club's desire to focus on Entrepreneurship, as well as to closely adhere to the RI President's CITATION needs.  Jo Ann introduced two representatives from YE who would work with the Club, to partner with Rotary and help develop an entrepreneurial mindset amongst young people.
