NO DINNER SPAGHETTI DINNER!
This would have been the week we hosted our Annual Reed Franklin Spaghetti Supper. Last minute appeals for more money and volunteers would have flooded your inbox. Brad Hall and his team would start making sauce and getting everything ready to go. Tables would have been decorated and volunteers in place to serve dinner to hundreds of our neighbors, friends, co-workers and families.
Instead, many of us are working from home and trying to teach our children. Some of us may have lost our jobs or had hours reduced. We're all adjusting to this temporary way of living life.
We've changed our event to a "No Dinner Spaghetti Dinner". If you are in a position to do so, we are asking our members to donate to the South Tyler Rotary Foundation in order to have funding for grants this fall. We're encouraging $150 per member, but any amount is welcome. Please mail donations to South Tyler Rotary Foundation, PO Box 7153, Tyler TX 75711 or you can make an online donation on Diane's Facebook Fundraiser.
If you solicited funds from others, please reach out to each of them. Let them know the change to a non event and confirm we can still use their donation.
