Fellow South Tyler Rotarians - what a fabulous first six months of this Rotary year we have had! You have all shown up in a big way, either in person or financially - or both! Your spirit of service is so evident and radiating! THANK YOU!!
More opportunities for service to our community are coming up in our next six months of the 2021-2022 year. We will soon be rolling out the plan for the 2022 Reed Franklin Spaghetti Supper. Also, Christmas Parade planning committee will be in place early in the year as this event continues to be fine-tuned.
If you volunteer with a non-profit group and have a service opportunity in which our club can participate, please let Jarad Kent know about it!
Dues are Due!
Please check your email for a message from Tom Seale with a link to pay your dues electronically. If you prefer, you can write a check and bring to the meeting, or mail to PO Box 7153, Tyler TX 75711. Also you can pay by credit card at the meeting, $150 for six months, $300 for the full year.
Service & Social
We have a Third Thirsty Thursday coming up on January 20th, but need to know if YOU have a favorite place to stop for with friends for an appetizer and a beverage. Let Jeff Cummings know and we'll add it to the event calendar!
Next service opportunity is the East Texas Food Bank on February 10th at 5:30. We will have a sign up sheet at our next few meetings so we get a good turn out!
Grant Awards!
In January we will be awarding grant dollars Habitat for Humanity of Smith County, Mosaic Counseling Centers of East Texas, and East Texas Crisis Center. Representatives from each of these groups will attend our meeting to tell us more about their service mission, accept the BIG CHECK and share how the grant funds will be used to benefit our community.
New Members
Pic Pickens - a founding member of South Tyler Rotary, Pic is returning to the club as an Honorary Member. Next Monday we will be inducting Detrese Harkey and John O'Shaughnessey as our newest members.
