Literacy Council of Tyler Spelling Bee - July 31st is the last day to register to attend the LCOT Spelling Bee at Green Acres Crosswalk Center on Tuesday, August 8th. Cost is $10.00 for our members. Sign up with Nancy Crawford today or send her an email to ncrawford@lcotyler.org. The doors open at 11:00 for lunch and the Bee starts promptly at 11:30. You can arrive as late as 12 and still be served lunch.

 

Board Vacancies - We’re still looking for someone to serve on our Board as the Public Image Director. Primarily, this person would send press releases out to media. See Nancy Crawford if you have an interest.

 

Christmas Parade - The next Christmas Parade planning meeting is Thursday, August 10th at 1:15 at the Hollytree Country Club. More members of our club are needed to help with planning. Let Amanda Folmar know if you’d like to assist.

 

2017 Rotary District 5830 Polio Plus Raffle - Keep on selling raffle tickets for the District 5830 Polio Plus Raffle. The grand prize is a 2017 Ford F150XLT. Tickets are $25.00 each. Drawing will be held November 11th at the District 5830 District Conference. (Need not be present to win.) See Nancy Crawford if you need  tickets.

 

Member Orientation - Anyone new to Rotary is invited to our Member Orientation on Monday, August 28th. We’ll start after the Rotary meeting ends and it will last 30 minutes.

 

Red Badge Program - If you are a newer member who is tracking your Red Badge Program, please bring it with you Monday. Plan to meet with Marla Boren at the conclusion of our meeting. Hopefully only about 10-15 minutes, but no more than 30 minutes. (If you are a newer member who is unsure about the Red Badge Program, come to the orientation on August 28th to get the details.)
