2017 Grant Applications - Grant applications for proceeds from the 2017 Spaghetti Supper are now being accepted. Non-profit organizations providing services in the areas of "Improvement of Health", "Alleviation of Poverty" or "Support for Education" are encouraged to apply. Maximum request is $1000.00. 2017 Rotary District 5830 Polio Plus Raffle - Deadline extended! Last chance to purchase or sell raffle tickets for the District 5830 Polio Plus Raffle. The grand prize is a 2017 Ford F150XLT. Tickets are $25.00 each. Drawing will be held November 11th at the District 5830 District Conference. (Need not be present to win.) See Nancy Crawford. World Polio Day at Robert E. Lee High School October 25th - Join South Tyler Rotary on Wednesday, October 25th at Robert E. Lee High School for World Polio Day. The event starts at 10:30 and ends at 1:00.
We plan to display the Rotary Iron Lung to bring awareness to both Rotary and Polio. Our volunteers will hand out flyers to the students and explain about both Polio and Rotary.

District Conference, Shreveport, November 10-11 - We strongly encourage STR members to attend the upcoming Friday the 10th is the Rotary Leadership Institute training at the downtown Hilton hotel. That afternoon is a Young Professionals social event. Then, that evening is a dinner with live band, cash bar and fellowship at Centenary College. Saturday, we will have a breakfast, speakers, breakout sessions, awards luncheon and service project.
This will be a great opportunity to see old friends and meet new Rotarians from District 6190. Hotel rooms at the Hilton are only $99 per night for two people. The cost for all three meals, the RLI training, speakers and fellowship will only be $75. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to celebrate the 2016-2017 Rotary Year!
