What an incredible week of service!
It's weeks like the last that make me proud to be a South Tyler Rotarian!
I joined Rotary several years ago in search of something special. A place where I can build relationships, serve my community, and to fill a void that stepping away from Scouting was leaving because my boys were no longer part of the program.
I am so grateful that Tom Dewitt said that I would make a good Rotarian and shared that it was much like scouting!
Last week South Tyler Rotarians stood at the Red Kettle in the middle of two of the busiest drive through lines in Tyler, for an entire day! Thank you to all that served!
On the very same day that we rang the bell, several Rotarians took time out of their evening to assemble bikes, a tradition we must continue! Thank you to all that served!
Two short days later, we held our first Breakfast with Santa and once again, South Tyler Rotarians stepped up to serve! Thank you to all that served!
This has been a good month for service, but it is not over! This Saturday we will gather to clean a park that we (South Tyler Rotarians) have committed to maintain each quarter. Plan to be there!
This is the season of giving, but as Rotarians we are here to serve all year. Not just in December.
Let's serve together in fellowship, as friends, as a part of this community, and as Rotarians!
