Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2022! Hopefully we all had some blessed time at Christmas and over the New Year weekend, time to spend with our families and friends, time invested in worship and reflection of the blessings and challenges of the past year, and time to develop a vision for 2022. Our members met in 2021 and completed a Club Vision workshop, identifying specific service ideas for our club to implement over the next few years. My goal for the next few months is to engage our members with this vision and build a plan of action in this direction. If you are motivated to work on our Club Vision Plan, please let me know. I will be reaching out by email, phone, text, and in person to engage YOU in our vision. Our club is a great collaboration of professionals, volunteers, and servant hearts. Let's come together and make this a great 2022! I appreciate all of you!

Service & Social
Third Thirsty Thursday is coming up on January 20th, 5 p.m. at Dakota's Steak and Chop House on Old Bullard Road. Stop in for some fellowship with your club members and enjoy some great appetizers and beverages.

Our next service opportunity is the East Texas Food Bank on February 10th at 5:30. We will have a sign up sheet at our next few meetings so we get a good turn out!
Reed Franklin Spaghetti Supper is tentatively scheduled for April 21st. President Elect Chris McLarry and PE Nominee Brandie Henderson will be leading the organization of this event with a goal of hosting our traditional on-site dinner and also bring back our community meal service from 2021. Watch for details and get excited to join us for this great event!
If you volunteer with a non-profit group and have a service opportunity in which our club can participate, please let Jarad Kent know about it!
Dues are Due!
Please check your email for a message from Tom Seale with a link to pay your dues electronically. If you prefer, you can write a check and bring to the meeting, or mail to PO Box 7153, Tyler TX 75711. Also you can pay by credit card at the meeting, $150 for six months, $300 for the full year.
Grant Awards!
In January we will be awarding grant dollars Habitat for Humanity of Smith County (Jan 10), Mosaic Counseling Centers of East Texas (Jan 24) , and East Texas Crisis Center (Jan 31). Representatives from each of these groups will attend our meeting to tell us more about their service mission, accept the BIG CHECK and share how the grant funds will be used to benefit our community.
New Members
Pic Pickens - a founding member of South Tyler Rotary, Pic is returning to the club as an Honorary Member. Today we will be inducting Detrese Harkey and John O'Shaughnessey as our newest members.
