November is Polio Month and this will give us an additional opportunity to hold an event or fundraiser for Polio Plus efforts. Our goal is to be rid of this disease."

On World Polio Day, thousands of Rotary clubs around the world will hold events and fundraisers to recognize our progress in the global fight to end polio.

Membership and Foundation Seminar will be held on November 2, 2019 at First Christian Church of Tyler, 4202 South Broadway Avenue, Tyler, Texas 75701. The church is located on the NE Corner of South Broadway and Loop 323. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. and sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The cost of the training is $15.00 per person and will include a light breakfast, Chick-fil-A lunch, and seminar materials. The dress will be Rotary casual. Registration deadline is October 31st by 5:00 p.m.
All Rotarians are invited, with special emphasis on Club Officers, Club Membership and Foundation Committee members.
The sessions promote membership attractions, flexibility, and innovation, along with sessions on ways to support the Rotary Foundation and International Service.
I am a Community Response Officer for Tyler Police Department. I currently serve Beat 5, but have connections and assist all throughout the city. I love the job that I have been given. It is almost as if the City of Tyler is my Mayberry. I am also involved in several associations that give back to our community and look out for First Responders.
I am the Team Coordinator for the East Texas Critical Incident Stress Management team, which services 27 counties throughout our area helping First Responders (Fire, Police, EMS, Dispatch, Medical Profession) cope with traumatic events.
I also work hard to coordinate Blue Santa every Christmas. Each child selected to participate in Blue Santa typically would not have a Christmas without our involvement.; they get $100.00 to go shopping with an Officer to spend on whatever they want.
I also teach Civilian Response to an Active Shooter Event and Stop the Bleed throughout our area. I enjoy sharing knowledge with folks on how to survive an Active Shooter event and on how to use a tourniquet and/or pack a wound. Tourniquets save lives, everyone should know how to use them.
This is where my passions go when they are not focused on my home life with my family.
