A MESSAGE FROM YOUR CLUB PRESIDENT

August is Membership and New Club Development Month, and it invites us to take a fresh look at the heart of Rotary—our people.

Behind every project we support, every dollar we raise, and every life we touch, there's a Rotarian making it happen. Membership isn't just a number—it’s the engine that drives our impact. When we grow our club, we expand our capacity to serve.

But growth doesn’t always mean adding more names to a list. It means bringing in people who believe what we believe: that kindness matters, service changes lives, and connection is worth the effort.

So here’s a simple challenge for all of us this month: Invite One.

Think of one person—someone you respect, someone who cares about their community, someone —and invite them to a meeting or service event. Just one. Sometimes one invitation can lead to a lifetime of impact. 

Also, take time this month to:

• Reflect on why you joined Rotary—and why you stay.

• Get to know someone in our club you don’t know well. Relationships are the foundation of everything we do.

Simon Sinek says that people don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it. Lead with your why when you invite someone.

Our Membership Chair, Tammy Haas is launching a Membership Committee and she is looking for 4 more members to serve. Help shape the future of our club and our membership by putting this month's focus into action.
