If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring??? PILGRIMS :)
We are swiftly making it to the end of the 2018-2019 Rotary year and we are still rocking & rolling. Spaghetti dinner was a huge success once again, we were able to raise over $40,000 to impact our community. Bergfeld Park is clean and ready for families to enjoy for spring time after our quarterly adopt a park clean up. May 18th, I hope you are all ready to party for a purpose at our first annual Pints for Polio .5K Brew Run! If you have not signed up, please do so, it is going to be a blast. We are also making the month of May, MEMBERSHIP MONTH! Our club growth has been nothing short of amazing, but I am encouraging everyone to bring a friend to our May meetings. We are currently the 2nd largest club in the district and you all probably know I may be a little competitive.

I am so proud & thankful for each of you for your work and dedication to our community! You are AWESOME!

Yours in Rotary,
Amanda Folmar
2018-2019 South Tyler Rotary President

Rotarian Spotlight

Mark Roberts

I am married to the only women I was ever meant to be in love with, my wife of 20 years Heather! I have four children Ethan 17, Olivia 15, Ashton 13 and Jenna 17, they are the madness that makes the time fly by far too quickly. I have worked for Altice USA or some version of them for nearly 21 years here in the Tyler media department. Having been in Rotary maybe 17 maybe 18 years, and have served as President of the Club and STR foundation.

I have sat on a number of boards over the years and am currently on the board and past president of Next Step Community Solutions.

Something I enjoy doing is mountain climbing with my brother Michael, having reached an altitude of 20,000 feet just a couple of years ago in Bolivia. With a goal of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro with my daughter Olivia during her senior year next year.
