November is Rotary Foundation Month
L  ast year over 1,300 Global Grants were granted by The Rotary Foundation (TRF) and an additional 3,000 District Grants were funded, like our "Splasher Repurposing" in Bergfeld Park. TRF received over $395,000,000 to facilitate these projects and support our efforts to eradicate polio.
On Monday, Tom DeWitt will have a station set up for you to check your Paul Harris status, make donations or ask any questions you may have regarding how our participation individually or collectively works.
Due to the generosity of some mature members of our Club, we are offering matching Paul Harris points for gifts made on Monday ONLY in excess of $99 on the basis of one point for every $1 contributed to either the Annual Fund or Polio Plus. You may participate with checks, cash or credit cards; talk with Tom at Monday's meeting and find out more!
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Diane Kavanaugh
Diane lived in North Carolina most of her life before moving to Tyler in October 2012. She currently works as the Finance & Administration Director at PATH. 
Diane joined South Tyler Rotary in June 2015. She is a Paul Harris Fellow +2 and is the President-Elect for the 2020-2021 Rotary Year. In addition to South Tyler Rotary, Diane serves on the boards of Discovery Science Place and AAUW Tyler. She is the current President of the Outdoor Adventure Club of East Texas. Diane was active in the Jaycees in North Carolina for almost 20 years.
Diane's favorite activity (other than Rotary) is hiking and camping. Her bucket list item is a trip to the Big Bend area and to visit the McDonald Observatory at Fort Davis.
Diane is married to Jon, an RF Engineer at General Dynamics. They have two cats, Orion and Leo.
