Dear Rotarians and Friends,
As we begin this new Rotary year, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement for the journey ahead. Our theme for the year is "Uniting for Good"—a simple phrase that reminds us of the incredible impact we can have when we work together with a shared purpose.
This year, our focus as a club will be threefold:
Serving our community, growing together through fellowship and engagement, and growing our membership by inviting others to join in our mission.
July is Maternal and Child Health Month for Rotary. We’ll kick off our service efforts by partnering with the East Texas Food Bank Rotary Club to pack meals for their BackPack program, which provides weekend food support for children who might otherwise go without. It’s a powerful way to start the year—by feeding both bodies and hearts. I encourage all of us to find other ways to support mothers and children this month and throughout the year. You can donate formula or diapers, cook a meal for a foster care family, donate books to a pediatric clinic.
I have always been drawn to serving my community, which is why I joined Rotary. I saw the blood, sweat, and tears that clubs across District 5830 while working for the East Texas Food Bank. I wanted to serve my community alongside people who feel the same way and I found what I was looking for with the South Tyler Rotary Club.
I’m truly honored to serve as your president this year and I am excited to see what we will accomplish together.
Let’s make this year meaningful. Let’s Unite for Good.
Yours in service,
Alex Fruth
President, South Tyler Rotary
