The min imum age to volunteer at ETFB in Tyler is 8 years old.
\n The minimum age t o volunteer at our Resource Centers is 11 years old.
A chaperone or parent must accompany volunteers under the age of 16. If under 18 and volunteering without a chaperone or parent\, the \;Volunteer Re lease and Waiver of Liability Form \;must be completed by the pare nts/legal guardians of that volunteer.
Volu nteers must adhere to ETFB&rsquo\;s \;Volunteer Dress Code \;as listed below:
\n &ndash\; Volunteers must wear closed-toe\, slip-resistant shoes. Flip-Flops or Sandals will be \;NOT \;be permitted.
\n &ndash\; Tank tops or shirts that expose midrift will \;NOT \;be permitted.
\n &ndash\; T-shirts with offensi ve language or obscenities will \;NO T \;be permitted.
\n &ndash\; Dangling jewelry will \;NOT \;be permitted to be worn in th e volunteering areas.

Please make sure you arrive on time for your scheduled volunteer shift. Do \;NOT \;bring more volunteers than you have o riginally scheduled.

The East Texas Food Ba nk is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited across the entire prem ises including the parking lot areas. This includes E-Cigs and vaping mate rials.

All types of firearms\, weapons\, al cohol\, narcotics or other illegal substances are \;NOT \;permitted on ETFB premises.
\n
The East Texas Food Bank is not responsible for lost\, s tolen or damaged personal items.

Swearing\, profanity\, or disrespectful behavior in the volunteer center will \; NOT \;be permitted under any conditions.

Please do not climb on or attem pt to operate any of the machinery in the warehouse or production areas.\n
All products donated to the ETFB are designa ted for distribution to our nonprofit member agencies and clients only. It ems deemed unfit for distribution must be discarded by the appropriate mea ns. Consuming or removing donated food items from the premises will \; NOT \;be permitted.
\n As outlined in the ETFB Chemical Control Program\, d o not bring or use any chemicals (aerosols\, degreasers\, glass cleaners\, insecticides\, etc.) that are not designated for use by ETFB personnel.\n
As defined by local\, state and federal food safety laws\, persons with boils\, sores\, infected wounds\, infections o r any other communicable diseases are \;NOT \;permitted to contact food. If you suspect that you ma y have any relevant infectious disease or condition to which you may have been exposed\, please notify ETFB personnel immediately.

As defined by local\, state and federal food safety laws\, a ll volunteers must adhere to the ETFB Allergen Control Program. This progr am identifies required and recommended allergen control measures that ETFB must adhere to in order to ensure the distribution of safe and wholesome food. Furthermore\, any volunteer that has a specific food allergy must no tify ETFB staff so that any potential exposure risk can be minimized durin g the volunteer session.

At their discretio n\, the ETFB and its employees reserve the right to ban any volunteer who does not comply with any and all instructions and with our no-show policy.
