May 13th, QISD held their scholarship award ceremony.
Sadie was one of the senior graduates that was recognized for their scholastic and leadership qualities.

Mr. and Mrs. Garrett were active members of the Quitman community for may years as a
farmer, postmaster and a bank that is the predecessor to Origin Bank, The First National Bank
of Quitman. Mrs. Garrett was a homemaker. As demonstrated by their gift that funds this
trust, they were community leaders not only in their lives but for future generations as well.
