August Newsletter
July has come and gone and there is no doubt summer is with us. We have some great things planned for August, including a visit from our District Governor, Karen Maines on August 11th, Shawn Hara talking out Longview as a destination and Brenda Keys from Kilgore College. Also, put on your calendars, August 11th is the Food Drive at the Rodeo grounds from 7:30 – 10:30. Come and work whatever time you can.
Chicks-N-Chaps is working diligently on their event, Saturday, September 9th, Boss of the Toss. The event will be held at the ETBA Event Center on Alpine, 4:00 – 8:00. Come join us for the fun to play corn hole or washers, left-right-center and don’t miss the live auction and the bucket auction. Food trucks will be on site and drinks will be furnished. Contact me if you would like to be a sponsor of this great event or sign up for a washer or corn hole team. Spots are limited, so don’t wait.
I want to thank everyone once again for your great ideas concerning programs, service projects, club and Foundation fundraising and general ideas. Please feel free to give me your input and ideas. If you have a program idea, get with Kelly Overby, club or Foundation fundraising idea, get with Holly Fuller. If you have a passion in an area of service, I encourage you to take the initiative to put a plan together and get with Tyler Rainer. Smaller projects may require only a few people, so follow your passion and put something together that we just need to add people and it is ready to go.
I am looking for someone to take on the role of Historian for the Club. Please contact me if you have an interest in this.
