Rotarians,
Remember we WILL NOT meet this week due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
On Monday, we hosted the Longview Fire & Police Annual Appreciation Dinner and Golf Tournament at Wood Hollow with nearly 30 teams. It was a great time and an honor to do something for the men and women of the Longview Police and Fire Departments.
The police department won this year’s contest. Congrats, Chief Bishop and LPD!
It was also a time to give out our awards to the Officer and Firefighter of the Year. Police Officer of the Year Matthew Cooper was able to be at the tournament, so Charles Rader presented his award. Firefighter of the Year Douglas Pfeiffer couldn’t make it, so Chief Steelman presented him with his award.
Thanks to all of LPD and LFD for all you do.
We’ll be back at the Hilton on Friday, May 31, the day before our final month of the Rotary year begins. As Foundation Chair David Yowell said at last week’s meeting, this is a great time to think about making a donation to the Rotary Foundation.
