We did it again.
Our club's team, this year with Treasurer Laura Hill and Cassandra Burford, was named the winner of the East Texas Literacy Council Bee For Literacy today. That's the second year for our club's team to be named winner and the second year for Laura to be on the team. Way to go! Our team was the team to correctly spell a word in the fifth round, and the judges declared them winner as the lone spellers remaining after the round.
Words spelled by Laura and Cassandra were:
Round 1: warden
Round 2: ancestor
Round 3: tenacious
Round 4: carcinogenic
Round 5: seneschal (that might be spelled wrong)
