50/50 - $17 was won & dontated back to the club by James Godleski!!
Fines - It was suggested that we bring back Happy Fines for the month's Birthdays and Anniversaries ($2 each). We had an overwelming respose of YES, bring it back! In addition, if you are scheduled for a volunteer event for the club and you don't go (other than you're on your death bed), you will be fined $25! This includes Nursing Home duty, Bell Ringing, St Pat's Fund Raiser, Dick's Sporting Goods Open etc! There were a TON of Happy Fines and self imposed fees paid as well. As a result, this week our fines amounted to $130!!!

This week's speaker was Kyle Lake from CHOW who shared many, sometimes little-known facts about the organization!They recover food from local grocery stores & 2 days/wk-those items are distributed to those in need; seniors participate in “chop & chat”; assist with building ramps at home of those in need of them (“Ramp it up”); volunteers provide rides for groceries and medical appointments for participants 60+; sponsorship Greater Good Grocery Store; Jail & Hospital Ministries; providing prepared meals (3/day) to those that qualify.For more information click here:CHOW® | Broome County Council of Churches
And for our special entertainment…Andy and Aaron had a gentlemen’s bet to see who’s team would raise more funds for the Salvation Army this past holiday season.Aaron w/ the organization of the bell ringers and independent sponsorship/donations and Andy through support at his trivia nights in the area.Aaron’s team prevailed which lead to a PIE IN THE FACE to Andy/AP Entertainment!The AWESOME news is that together the teams raised close to $2,500!!!Way to go A&A!A video was shot and posted on both Vestal Rotary’s Facebook site as well as AP Entertainment if you’d like to witness the antics!
