A Board Meeting was held prior to the regular meeting. There was no outside speaker-topics of conversation revolved around “housekeeping items” for the club:
It has been several years since we had an increase in dues & there have been some increased costs to the club to RI etc. As a result, the Board has reviewed & approved an increase of $5 going forward. This will be reflected in your next dues statement. The dues will be reviewed every 2 years going forward to reflect any new/updated costs warranting a change.
It was a pleasure to welcome another Vestal Rotarian to the Paul Harris Fellowship ranks! Aaron Martin was recognized by Neil Guiles for all he has done to help futher Rotary both for our Club & District over the years. Congratulations to you Aaron…Well deserved!!
Our partnership with United Way of Broome County was reinforced with a reminder that we will again participate in the Halloween Costume give-away coming up on October 4th. There are still spots to join the team for this wonderfully rewarding event!

Fines - Total raised in fines this week was a mere $25! Danielle noted the Buffalo Bills current record, a trip to Paris & work w/ Binghamton Fire Dept for the Memorial Stair Climb honoring the 343 fallen Firefighers from 9/11. Others that paid into the fines raised, I apologize to, as I didn't write them down to report! I'll do better next time…
