Dear Rotarians,
February was a busy month for our BU volunteers! Our club worked 10 Binghamton University Basketball games, with 4 of the games breaking sales records. We have one final game on Wednesday night to round out a successful fundraising season for the Club and Foundation. I cannot thank each and every volunteer enough for their time and service to the club.
Board nominations and elections have taken place. Please help me in congratulating our new board members, Sue Bachman, Dottie Kuehl, Sam Lupo and Dennis Sweeney. They will make great editions to the club's board.
On March 31st, Endicott Rotary will celebrate 100 years of Service above Self. The celebration committee is in the final preparations to make the event a success. The keynote speaker will be M. Stanley Whittingham, Nobel Laureate, Binghamton University. I hope to see all of you there as we are looking for 100% club participation.
If you have not seen the window at the Endicott History Museum, please stop by and look. The window display of "100 years of Endicott Rotary" will be there through 3/31. The Endicott History Museum is the original Burts building at 40 Washington Ave.
Finally, Community Meeting Hall at the Visitor Center is in much need of interior paint. We will be looking for a group of volunteers to do some indoor painting in the coming weeks. As many of you know Community Meeting Hall was built by the area's service club, with our club leading the project.
Again, I hope to see all of you at the celebration dinner on March 31st!
Please stay safe!

The Endicott Rotary Foundation is the tax-exempt arm of the Endicott Rotary Club, and as such, can only donate to other tax-exempt organizations. The Foundation is meeting quarterly this Rotary year to review finances and grant requests.
Foundation members are: Betty Casey - Chair, Tom Latini, Doug Boyce, Gay Canough and Bill Campbell. At this time, there are no grants pending. After receiving no funds from Binghamton University last year, the Foundation is on track to re-plenish its coffers this year with a full slate of BU Basketball Games, thanks to the many Rotarians who give of their time and talents.

Endicott Rotary was given the opportunity to showcase 100 years of Service Above Self in the front window of The Endicott History Museum on Washington Avenue in Endicott. The display contains memorabilia from the past 100 years including, Thomas MacClary's Paul Harris Fellow award. He was one of the charter members and president of Endicott Rotary. Other items include over 200 flags, including one from an African King.
The window display will be up through March 31st.

Volunteers Needed
We have been asked to do some interior painting
at Community Meeting Hall.
Please let us know if you are willing to help paint!
BU Basketball
We made it! We have one game left in March and then our season is over. BU is the Club's largest revenue producer. We will receive over $23,000 from Binghamton University/Sodexo this year for our hard work.
We want to thank each and every one of you who have volunteered your time this year to make this fundraising endeavor a success. There are several people who work nearly every game and wanted to give them a special thank you!
Great job everyone on great season!

Rotary International statement on Ukraine conflict
It is a tragic and sad time for the people of Ukraine and the world.
At Rotary, we are deeply concerned by the deteriorating situation in Ukraine and the escalating loss of life and humanitarian hardship there. Continued military action against Ukraine will not only devastate the region, but also risk spreading tragic consequences across Europe and the world.
As one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations, we have made peace the cornerstone of our global mission. We join the international community in calling for an immediate cease fire, withdrawal of Russian forces, and a restoration of diplomatic efforts to resolve this conflict through dialogue.
In the past decade, Rotary clubs in Ukraine, Russia and nearby countries have transcended national differences and have actively engaged in peace-building projects to promote goodwill and to marshal assistance for the victims of war and violence. Today, our thoughts are with our fellow Rotary members and others in Ukraine coping with these tragic events. Rotary International will do everything in its power to bring aid, support and peace to the region.
